Propane marketers can now take the Certified Employee Training Program (CETP) exam via a new online testing instrument available at www.cetpcertification.org.
Current CETP test proctors will be required to complete an online Proctor Training and Testing (PTT) program, whether they are administering CETP exams online or in a paper and pencil format. This proctor training will provide several important benefits, including enhancing the testing environment for the candidates, providing greater securing and defensibility of the testing process, assuring consistent administration of CETP exams, and providing guidelines for handling testing irregularities, disruptions, or emergency situations.
The PTT program should take no longer than 1-2 hours to complete. Proctors will be assigned a new ID number ( which will be used to login testing candidates online and on the Scantron forms for paper and pencil tests) and password. There is a one-time $20 fee for proctor training, testing, and registration.
The new online testing procedure provides a number of benefits to industry employees who are taking CETP exams, including greatly improving reporting capabilities, enhancing security for both candidates and proctors by eliminating the use of social security numbers as candidate identifiers, and providing seamless integration with the CETP E-Learning initiative.
