PERC has developed an Operations and Maintenance Manual to assist the industry in that were added in the 2001 edition of NFPA 58 and remain in the 2004 edition, and then selectively modified in the 2008 edition. 

These new requirements include mandating written procedures for safely conducting activities associated with operations and maintenance, as well as a provision that equipment owners and operators ensure that the procedures are updated whenever a major change occurs and prior to startup of a changed system. The manual, which includes templates to develop company-specific materials, is available on a CD-ROM.
